surprising result
we took paul to toys'r'us last night (which he kept calling "s") to spend $55 in giftcards. we walked out emptyhanded because paul wasn't really interested in taking anything home. we showed him things we thought he might like -- a castle bridge, a cargo loader, a barrel loader etc. etc. etc. -- but he kept walking away.
but he wasn't totally unmoved by the situation. when we started walking out of the store, he kept fussing. "train. train. train!" he burst into tears as we drove away because he wanted so very much to stay there and play with their thomas set-up.
