alphabet soup
we're watching the "here come the abcs" dvd. paul seems to really enjoying it.
cam: he's finally the right age for it!
we bought it not long after it first came out. paul liked it, but he wasn't exactly ready for the alphabet back then. his favorite song was a bonus track ("clap your hands" -- a shortened version of this is featured in the "bluestock" ep of blue's clues. imagine paul's joy when he heard that!).
cam and i, on the other hand, loved it. they might be giants fans from our teenhood, it was cool to see they were doing something kid-oriented because most kid stuff is, well, yucky. we even took paul to see them play live at a local record shop (free show to promote the album). i remember feeling like we were hip young parents, even though i was wearing work clothes and not the requisite ringer tee and worn jeans.
it's been a while since we've watched this dvd. i think we ought to watch it more. it's a nice break from joe's singing and thomas' cheekiness.
