competitor

my cousin's little girl (two years older than paul) recently competed in a trike-a-thon. she rode her tricycle around a track as many times as possible to raise money for her school. we saw pictures and a short video clip of the event. that was one fierce-looking child. despite her small size, she completed just as many laps as classmates much bigger than her. it's so funny because just last year my cousin said that she had to push the tricycle around herself because her daughter's legs were too short to reach the pedals.

by the time paul is a year or two older, will he be comfortable enough with other children (we know he's lying now when he claims "me love other kids") to want to compete? i'm guessing he probably will be ready, but i don't know if i will be.
