giving in
after a 15-second debate, we gave paul the schoolbus of myth and legend. the one we swore we wouldn't give him until he was three.
paul: me three enough for the schoolbus!
cam: he's been three enough for two years.
and, as expected, he played with it for just a few minutes and then moved on to something else. he does like the little battery-powered schoolbus, though, and he played with it without the track -- but that was yesterday. i expect it to be wholly forgotten today.
